What should I expect when I visit Mt. Zion? |
Great things! Actually, you will enter into a large foyer where everyone gathers for great coffee, donuts and other snacks before and after the services. The Chapel is on the left side of the foyer and the Gym is on the right side. The children’s area is straight back. |

How do I find answers? |
Just ask for directions (unless you’re a man). You can also look for the smiling face at our Welcome Center as soon as you enter. Someone will direct you to opportunities for your children, teens, or direct you to your desired service. You’ll find a nursery for the very young and two Kidzone services for older children. |

What are your worship services like? |
Not everyone has the same taste in worship style, so Mt. Zion Church has designed three different types of weekend worship services. The Saturday service is “contemporary” and is lead by the Senior Pastor and a worship band. People are casually dressed and enjoy coffee in the Chapel. On Sunday we hold two different services at 10:45. In the Chapel, the Senior Pastor leads a traditional service. Attire ranges from sport to “dressy.” In the Gym, the Missions Pastor leads the Father’s House service. It too is a “contemporary” service with a worship band. Dress is whatever you’re comfortable in. For all our services, please feel free to come as you are. |

What are the sermons like? |
We work hard to make them practical, biblically-based and address life issues to help you live by faith through the week. (And we hope they’re not boring.) |

Am I expected to place an offering in the plate? |
No. Of course, we won’t stop you if you want to either. Keep in mind, you are our guest. We count on our regular members to meet the financial needs of the church. Our desire is that you receive something from the service that benefits you and strengthens your relationship with God. If you don’t mind, we would love to receive a communication card from you. Just place it in the offering plate. It’s not required, but the card helps us learn more about you, your interests, needs and prayer requests. |

What type of music do you have? |
It depends on the service you attend. Music is a vital part of all our services, from the organ and piano-accompanied hymns at the traditional service to the contemporary music of a praise band at our other services. Our Chancel Choir, Men’s Chorus, and Alleluia Chimes regularly lead in the traditional service. A worship band provides the music for the contemporary services. |

What do you have for my children? |
Lots of fun, caring adults, and a safe environment. During the worship services, childcare is provided for all young children. The older children go to Kidzone, and teens typically attend the Father’s House service. Once a month Mission Minded Kids inspires mission on their level.
During the Sunday School hour (9:00 AM), we have childcare and Kidzone for the children; a Sunday discipleship class (IMPACT) for junior high age kids; and a class (REAL) for high school age kids. We hold to a solid “Reducing the Risk” policy to help insure every child’s well-being while they are in our care. Ask about it at the Welcome Center.
