SMALL GROUP: THRIVING IN BABYLON
Wednesdays, 6:30 PM

Join our Wednesday evening small group, comprised mostly of those in the “raising a child” phase of life, as we begin a study of “Thriving in Babylon” by Pastor and author Larry Osborne. In this 5-session series, you will be introduced to a man forced to live in a fast-changing and godless society. This man faced fears about the future, concern for his safety, and the discouragement of a world that seemed to be falling apart at warp speed. That man was Daniel, and with the power of hope, humility, and wisdom, he not only survived, but thrived. Each session includes real-life stories of people struggling to thrive in an ever-increasing godless society. Though Daniel lived thousands of years ago, he has much to teach us today.

This group will primarily meet by Zoom. Please contact pastormike@mountzionchurch.org for more details and to get connected.

MINISTRY GROUPS

GRIEFSHARE
When: Mondays, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (October 19-January 25)
Where: Mt. Zion Church

GriefShare is a 13-week grief and recovery support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That’s the reason for GriefShare! This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult journey.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. During the small group discussion time, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own.

Our prayer is that you will find comfort, support, understanding, and encouragement during this season of grief. If you are interested in being a part of GriefShare, please email pastorjoe@mountzionchurch.org or contact the Church Office (937.426.0814).
