Missio Dei is Latin for “the Mission of God”. At Mt. Zion, we passionately long to live out and share the wonderful, life-transforming power of our Lord Jesus. We see this as our mission. We believe God’s mission is to change lives, just like He’s changed ours!

More and more, we discover that our lives are about personal mission; a mission that gives us hope and purpose, and one that shapes every area of our lives. No, we’re not all there yet, but our hearts’ prayer is to share Jesus, grow disciples and serve others.

UPCOMING & CURRENT EVENTS

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDY: GODS AT WAR
When: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 9:50 AM*
Where: Mt. Zion Chapel

There may be no wooden or golden idols in your home, such as the ancient Israelites struggled with, but chances are, there are significant idols in your heart. These idols can look like normal, everyday concerns about security, financial stability, desire for attention or affection, but can easily become the ugly reality of anxiety, greed, and seeking approval of man, rather than God. Join Mt. Zion’s Adult Sunday School class for a study of “Gods at War” by Kyle Idleman. In this study he addresses the issue of idolatry in the lives of believers by asking insightful questions that will help us determine which false gods are striving to sit on the throne of our hearts. By sharing true and powerful testimonies of those who have struggled with the idols of money, sex, success, food and romance, we will clear away the cultural baggage of the 21st century to expose these gods for what they are–rivals to our unhindered devotion to Christ. Discover the freedom that awaits you when you allow the true God to reside unchallenged in your heart and life.

WOMEN’S BOOK CLUB
Thursday, June 3
6:00 PM at Mt. Zion

The Women’s Book Club is for those who love to curl up with a good book and who would enjoy discussing what they’ve read with others. This is a great way to get to know other ladies who share the love of reading. All we ask is that each participant read the book selection for the month and then join us for lively discussion on the first Thursday of the month. The June Book of the Month is In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart: Hope for the Hurting by Ruth Graham.
