Discover Mt. Zion Church

JOIN US FOR WORSHIP ON SUNDAYS AT 9:00 AM OR 11:00 AM!
428 SHEPHERD RD • XENIA, OH
It is our deep desire to keep you and everyone that enters our doors as safe and healthy as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are a few important protocols that we want you to be aware of:

– To ensure safe distancing, Mt. Zion is currently hosting two in-person services in the Gym on Sundays at 9:00 AM (traditional music) & 11:00 AM (contemporary music). When you arrive for worship, we ask that you “check in” at the registration table, and our ushers will seat you for the service. (For the foreseeable future, we will no longer be asking attendees to register for Sunday worship services ahead of time here on our website.)

– In compliance with Ohio’s statewide order – MASKS ARE REQUIRED for everyone ages 10 and up (unless you meet one of the exceptions listed in Governor DeWine’s order). If you do not have a mask, we are happy to provide one for you as you enter the building.

– Limited childcare (infants-Pre-K) and KidZone (K-5) is available at the 11:00 AM service only.

– Food/drink service will NOT be offered for the time being.

– Please worship with us from home if you are sick, or if it best fits your health and safety needs. Our services are streamed live to our Facebook page and a recording of the 11 AM service will be available here on our website so that you can worship anytime that works best for you.

– We will be conducting thorough & regular cleanings of the church (including between services) but we cannot guarantee that you will not contract COVID-19 at the church.

Find a place to CONNECT.

At Mt. Zion Church there’s a place for everyone! Search here for a group that will help you grow in your relationship with God and offer support when you need it most.

Find a place to SERVE.

Missio Dei is Latin for “the Mission of God”. At Mt. Zion, we passionately long to live out and share the wonderful, life-transforming power of our Lord Jesus. We see this as our mission. We believe God’s mission is to change lives, just like He’s changed ours!

More and more, we discover that our lives are about personal mission; a mission that gives us hope and purpose, and one that shapes every area of our lives. No, we’re not all there yet, but our hearts’ prayer is to share Jesus, grow disciples and serve others.

UPCOMING & CURRENT EVENTS

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDY: UNSHAKABLE HOPE
Sundays, 10:10 AM – 10:50 AM in the Chapel

This 12-week Bible study of Max Lucado’s Unshakable Hope will help us stand on the definitive declarations of our mighty and loving God who governs the world according to his great and precious promises. There are things in our world that seem unsteady but when we belong to God, it allows us to filter our problems through HIS PROMISES. When we choose to be “people of the promise,” we choose to build our lives on the promises of God, not the circumstances of life.

*This class meets in between our 9 AM and 11 AM worship services in the Chapel. Masks are required and we will be following social distancing guidelines.

LADIES’ EVENING BIBLE STUDY: ELIJAH – FAITH AND FIRE
Mondays, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM @ Mt. Zion Church

Ladies, you are invited to join Mt. Zion’s Monday Night Ladies’ Bible Study as we study Elijah – Faith and Fire by Priscilla Shirer. We will join Priscilla on a 7-session journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now.

SMALL GROUP: GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD
Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM
This group meets via Zoom

If you find yourself longing for freedom from toxic thinking patterns, Mt. Zion invites you to join us for a new small group study called Get Out of Your Head. In this study, Jennie Allen takes us on a journey through Philippians, inspiring and equipping us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. When we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. It starts in your head. And from there, the possibilities are endless.

Please contact pastormike@mountzionchurch.org for more info and to find out how you can get connected.

RENU YOUTH

EVENING OF PRAYER
Wednesday, February 3 @ 6:00 PM

On the first Wednesday of each month, Mt. Zion holds an Evening of Prayer. This is a time where we, as a church family, lift our hearts to the Lord in an extended time of prayer. While we will not be hosting an in-person prayer meeting in February, we invite everyone to set aside the 6:00 PM hour on Wednesday, February 3 as we offer up our prayers together at the same time.

Click here for a Prayer Guide that you can use as a tool as you pray.

Life is better shared, especially in Christ-centered community. Mt. Zion offers numerous SMALL GROUPS & BIBLE STUDIES that offer a great opportunity to form close-knit relationships with others as we grow in our journey’s with Jesus together.
