Missio Dei is Latin for “the Mission of God.” At Mt. Zion, we passionately long to live out and share the wonderful, life-transforming power of our Lord Jesus. We see this as our mission. We believe God’s mission is to change lives, just like He’s changed ours!
More and more, we discover that our lives are about personal mission; a mission that gives us hope and purpose, and one that shapes every area of our lives. No, we’re not all there yet, but our hearts’ prayer is to share Jesus, grow disciples and serve others.

AWANA is a global nonprofit ministry that helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children. This exciting ministry is committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ in this world starts with kids who know, love and serve Jesus Christ. Each week is loaded with fun, activities, music, and games that offer your child an opportunity to learn about the Bible while building relationships with other kids (and their AWANA leaders) in age-appropriate groups or “clubs.”
AWANA at Mt. Zion is free and is open to children age 3 thru 5th grade. We meet at the church on Wednesdays (September-May) from 6:30PM-8:00PM.

Scripture calls Christians to “be prepared” to give answers to anyone who asks about their faith. Are you prepared? Or do you feel ill-equipped? The facts of the resurrection, the reliability of the Bible, and the evidence for creation – all have solid proofs that you, your children, your grandchildren, and your friends can understand and share with anyone seeking hope. Equipping you and giving you confidence is why pastor and Bible teacher Chip Ingram created this Bible Study.
This small group will include time to get acquainted with members of the group, fellowship, discussion of material, prayer, and a service project. Space is limited. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or email by Sunday, September 4 to receive more details about the study.
When: Thursday, September 1, 6:00 PM
Where: Mt. Zion Church
The Women’s Book Club is for those who love to curl up with a good book and who would enjoy discussing what they’ve read with others. This is a great way to get to know other ladies who share the love of reading. All we ask is that each participant read the book selection for the month and then join us for lively discussion on the first Thursday of the month.
The September Book of the Month is Hearts Aglow (Book #2 in the Striking a Match series) by Tracie Peterson.
When: Thursdays, 10:00 AM
Where: Mt. Zion Church
Mt. Zion’s Thursday morning Women’s Bible Study invites you to bring your Bible and come fellowship as we journey through God’s Word together.
Our current study is “Twelve More Women of the Bible.” Join us as we look at the spiritual lessons learned from these twelve and what they mean for us today.
We will begin a study of Haggai/Nehemiah on September 8. 1.
